I’ve spent over 20 years working as a Marketing professional for a large media company. But after an over 4 year journey through infertility, God blessed my husband and I with an amazing little girl. And the moment I held that sweet girl in my arms I realized being “Mommy” was the best job I would ever have. Eighteen months later we were given a second incredible blessing, our son.
And so the adventure with this family of four began. Since starting this blog, I’ve left my fairly demanding job for an even tougher one – Stay At Home Mom. I try my best every day to keep my relationship with my husband healthy. I spend a few moments (at least some days) with God and in His word. Attempting to have some hobbies…maybe? (Sigh) And, of course, being a mommy to my two amazing children (two kids 2 years and under)…a 40-something year old mommy at that.
Really Mommy is a real and honest look at what being a mom is all about. How I have an uncontrollable fear of restroom changing tables (ick). How it almost drove me crazy going back to work after my first child and leaving my precious baby girl with others. How truly physically demanding being a mom can be. And how amazing it feels to hop in a bubble bath when your husband gets up with the kids on a random weekend morning. (yes, this has actually happened)
Really Mommy is a journey. A journey through life, through faith, through womanhood and through what it takes to be a “mommy.” Let’s take the journey together.
